The Company's subsidiaries are viewed as valuable participants in their local communities and make significant efforts to foster good relations with local community stakeholders. Ensuring a safe working environment for employees and reducing wasteful consumption are sound practices. The Company continuously monitors and seeks to improve its performance across its businesses in these areas.

2009 saw us invest significant energy in our Corporate Responsibility (CR) activity, resulting in a global audit of our activity, engagement with industry bodies, and the roll out of new group values.

We became a member of the Electronics Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC). We will be adopting their code of conduct and, in 2010, and beyond, we aim to embed throughout our operating companies. We also hope to gain a better understanding of industry best-practice though engagement with EICC, which we hope will inform our own approach to CR in the future.

We also became members of Business in the Community, in 2009, and working with both bodies ensures a deeper understanding of the issues that matter most.
