Phil is a highly experienced Chair and CEO with a distinguished career in global engineering businesses. He brings over 25 years’ experience in global senior leadership positions, transformation, and P&L roles, with deep expertise in aerospace, defence, automotive and marine sectors. Phil was previously CEO of GKN Plc’s largest division, GKN Automotive whilst also a being Board member. He was also the Group CEO and thereafter, Non-Executive Director of Latécoère, a Tier-1 partner to all the major aerospace aircraft OEMs. Phil’s breadth of experience in global organisations, delivering significant growth, transformation and M&A along with his specific sector experience match well with TT’s strategic priorities and markets.

Eric Lakin

Relevant skills and experience:

Eric’s corporate finance and operational experience spans over 15 years. Prior to joining TT he was Chief Financial Officer at Ceres Power and also spent ten years with FTSE 100 engineering group Smiths Group plc, latterly as CFO of Smiths Interconnect. Previously, Eric held roles in operational and corporate finance, strategy and M&A through his career at Smiths and prior roles in private equity and finance, consulting and industry. He has broad international experience including a secondment to the US and a board position in a joint venture in China. Eric is a Chartered Management Accountant and holds a master’s in Engineering and Information Sciences from the University of Cambridge.

Richard Webb

Richard was most recently Group Chief Financial Officer at Ultra Electronics having worked there for 12 years, including when it was a constituent of the FTSE 250. Richard has a proven track record of driving organic growth, change initiatives and cost efficiencies. He started his career at Deloitte, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Richard holds a MA in Engineering and Land Economy from Cambridge University.

Anne Thorburn

Anne has many years of experience gained from board level finance roles in listed international companies, including across life sciences, medical and industrial markets. Anne has particular expertise in financial management, risk, audit and M&A which complements the Company’s strategy as it continues to transform. Anne is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland and has formerly served as chief financial officer of Exova Group plc and group finance director at British Polythene Industries PLC. Anne was formerly a non-executive director of BTG plc.

Inken Braunschmidt

Inken brings over 20 years of industry experience in strategy, innovation, digital transformation and change management. She was Chief Innovation and Digital Officer and member of the Executive Board of Halma plc until 2023. Prior to joining Halma plc in 2017, Inken spent 13 years at RWE AG, the German energy giant, and its renewables subsidiary Innogy SE, where she held various international leadership roles. Inken studied Business Administration, Innovation & Technology Management at Kiel University and did her PhD thesis in Technology Management. Inken is member of the Digital Programme Board of the Royal Academy of Engineering.

Karina Rigby

Karina’s career in leading industrial companies spans more than 25 years, initially building her skill set in R&D, product development and manufacturing before progressing on to senior operating and then global leadership roles. Before joining TT she was President of the Critical Systems Division and Global Utilities Head at Eaton Corporation (a global leader in multinational power management and listed on the NYSE) where she had full P&L responsibility, including 17 manufacturing sites. Prior to that Karina spent more than 10 years at Siemens where she held a number of senior roles including CEO of a Siemens energy infrastructure business.

Karina holds bachelor’s and PhD degrees in Materials Engineering from MIT.

Ian Buckley

General Counsel and Company Secretary

Background

Ian's legal career spans over 20 years and he has broad experience of advising on UK and international matters, focusing on corporate, commercial, regulatory, intellectual property and litigation. Ian joined TT Electronics in 2013, having previously worked in the transactional life sciences practice of Reed Smith LLP and on inhouse secondments.

Ian was appointed to the role of General Counsel and Company Secretary to the Board and its Committees in March 2024.

Viki Matthews

Background

Viki joined TT Electronics in 2025 with over 25 years' global experience in the manufacturing, hi-tech, engineering world.   She’s partnered with business leaders in Europe, the US, Asia, and Southern Africa to bring modern, creative, commercially aware, and business focused HR approaches to the challenges of delivering a business and people strategy in complex multinationals. 

Prior to joining TT, Viki's primary employers included Element Six and Oxford Instruments.

Qualifications

Viki is a Fellow of the CIPD.

Mathew Freeman

EVP EMS

Background

Mathew has 26 yrs of experience in the A&D industry in numerous roles covering, Engineering, Programs, Operations, Supply Chain and General management. He has significant experience leading, multi disciplined teams across geographies to deliver complex development programs including Eurofighter Typhoon and KC46 Pegasus. He has successfully led program and/or business recovery, simultaneously improving margins, increasing sales and quality whilst improving capability and creating a positive work environment. He led the integration of the Torotel business into TTE following acquisition in 2020 and the subsequent closure and integration of the Covina and Medina sites into the Kansas facility. Mathew gets a huge satisfaction out of developing talent and high performing teams whilst delivering to customer and stakeholder expectations through strong internal and external relationships focussed on trust and integrity.

Qualifications

Mathew hold a BEng Hons in Aerospace Engineering from Manchester University (UK).

Robert Relph

EVP Power

Background

Rob joined TT Electronics in 2021 following 15 years at Rolls-Royce plc which included a number of high-profile, cross-sector leadership roles including Managing Director of a large wholly owned subsidiary. A commercially-biased general manager Rob has worked and lived in multiple countries including France, Germany and the US. During his time at TT Rob has led significant business growth by focusing on improving operational performance and our customer value proposition.

Rob has a bachelor degree from HEC, Paris, an Executive MBA from Cambridge University and is a lifetime member of the Institute of Directors
