Earlier this month, the Semelab facility of the Power and Hybrid Business Unit made a donation to a local Primary School in Leicestershire.

St. Andrew's CE (A) Primary School in North Kilworth received some valuable learning resources in the form of 15 'Hot Wires Kits'. These engaging electronic sets "will provide exciting learning opportunities for the children and will be used by students in years 4, 5 and 6" according to Heather White; the Headteacher of the school.

TT Electronics are proud to invest in the next generation of young engineers. As a follow-up action, a member of the Semelab team will be visiting the school to demonstrate the kits to the students and discuss how they may pursue a career in engineering. Furthermore, a number of children at the school will be invited for a tour of the Semelab facility to see first-hand some of the processes involved in advanced electronic engineering. This will be reported on further in the coming months.
