1. What formal qualifications and professional development opportunities do you offer?
As part of the programme, you’ll receive professional membership and support obtaining relevant certifications, providing industry recognition, access to learning resources and publications, networking and event opportunities, and enabling you to engage in volunteering that enhances both your experience and professional profile.
Depending on your chosen career path, we’ll fund and actively support your journey towards Chartered status, or relevant professional accreditation, providing guidance, mentorship, and practical support every step of the way.
2. I’m thinking of taking a ‘gap-year’. Can I delay my start date?
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a place in 2027 so please only apply if you can start this year.
3. Is there a minimum degree classification you will consider?
We do not have a minimum degree classification.
4. Do you take non-engineers on the graduate programme?
Yes, depending on the programme, we accept applications from varied degree backgrounds, including all STEM subjects and business-related degrees.
5. Can I apply to more than one position?
Yes, you can apply to as many our roles as you wish, however; please ensure it is the right role for you and that your skills align with the role requirements.
6. Will I get feedback on my application?
Due to the high volume of applications we receive for our early careers programmes, we are unable to provide individual feedback at application stage, however; you are welcome to contact TTRecruitment@ttelectronics.com to discuss your application. If you attend an assessment day, we will provide feedback on an individual basis after the day.
7. What’s the closing date for applications?
The application window for our 2026 cohort closes on the 28th of February 2026.
8. Do you provide sponsorship?
Due to the specific projects TT Electronics supports we are unable to sponsor work visas.
9. Do you offer a relocation package?
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a relocation package.
10. What vacancies are available at which locations?
We have graduate trainee roles available at 6 of our 7 UK manufacturing facilities. The roles vary, dependent upon location, so please read the individual job descriptions carefully before applying. Our 6 sites include: Barnstaple, Eastleigh, Fairford, Abercynon, Manchester, and Bedlington.
11. What does the application process involve?
Our recruitment process is broken down into two stages:
Step 1: Online application - Set up your candidate profile and apply using your CV. Here, you will be asked to answer a small number of application questions relevant to the role for which you’re applying.
Please be aware that the closing date for applications is the 28th of February 2026.
Once you’ve submitted your application, the recruitment team will manually review it. We’ll review all applications after the closing date and aim to come back to you within 2 weeks.
Step 2: If your application is successful, you’ll be invited to attend an assessment centre. Our assessment centres will take place on the 24th or 25th March 2026 (depending on the role) at our Manchester facility and will include a group activity and an individual interview, with a presentation. Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.
You’ll receive the presentation topic in advance so that you can prepare and remember, the interview process is a two-way street; we want you to have the opportunity to decide whether TT Electronics is the right place for you too!
12. When will I be expected to start?
All our graduate trainee roles will commence on the 7th of September 2026. Alternative start dates may be discussed on a case-by-case basis at the time of offer.

17. What is a BPSS?
Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) are a series of background checks conducted once a provisional offer has been accepted with TT Electronics, comprising identity, right to work status, employment history, and a criminal record check.
You will be asked to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK and confirmation of your current address. You will also be asked to provide the employment dates, company names and addresses of all your previous employers (including recruitment agencies) for the last 5 years, even if you only worked there for a few days.
If you have recently been in full-time education you will need to provide us with details of the educational institution course, dates and duration.
