TT Electronics Chosen As Finalists For The 2025 Elektra Awards!

Altitude DC recognised as a finalist under Power System Product of the Year

Woking, UK, 15 September 2025 – TT Electronics, a global provider of engineered electronics for performance-critical applications, has been named a finalist in the Power System Product of the Year category at the 2025 Elektra Awards. The announcement was made on the official Elektra Awards website. (elektraawards.co.uk)

The shortlisted product, Altitude DC™, is a high-voltage DC-DC power conversion solution developed to support electrification in aerospace, including hybrid, electric, and hydrogen-powered aircraft. It is designed to address challenges such as limited range, payload capacity, and energy density at high altitudes.

Key technical features include:

  • Modular architecture that simplifies qualification and supports faster development cycles.
  • High-voltage efficiency, reducing the number of converters required and contributing to overall aircraft weight savings.
  • Operational reliability across altitudes from 15,000 to 50,000 feet.
  • Flexible and scalable power blocks (FABB), ranging from 500 W to 10 kW, with input voltages of 270 V to 800 V DC, output voltages of 20 V to 48 V DC, up to 1,500 V isolation, and multiple output and packaging options.
  • A launch unit specified at 1 kW output power, 28 V DC ±2%, 800 V DC input, 96% efficiency, 36 A maximum current, and an operating temperature range of -40 °C to +70 °C, supported by passive cooling options.

Altitude DC™ is manufactured to recognised industry standards, with certifications including ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 14001, Nadcap, UL Cable Approval, PC-A-610D, J-STD-001, and ITAR registration.

The Elektra Awards celebrate innovation and achievements across the global electronics industry. Winners for 2025 will be announced on 9 December 2025 at the Hilton Bankside, London.
