TT Electronics Named a 2023 Best of Sensors Awards Finalist

FlexSense™ recognized as a finalist in the Industrial Sensors category

Woking, UK, 6 June 2023 – TT Electronics, a global provider of engineered technologies for performance critical applications, today announces it has been named a finalist in the Industrial Sensors category of the 2023 Best of Sensors Awards for FlexSense™. The awards program is presented by Sensors Converge and Fierce Electronics and honors the best in sensor technologies and the sensor ecosystem, people, and companies.

“Cost-effective control electronics are trending up. At the same time, demand for customized high-end optical encoder sensors is also growing. We saw an opportunity to address both developments in tandem,” said Walter Brooks, Global Product Manager – Optoelectronics, TT Electronics. “FlexSense™ is the result: a flexible solution that can easily be configured to meet optical encoder design requirements including higher resolution, faster response, a smaller footprint, and greater intelligence. With FlexSense™, TT customers can accelerate time-to-market, reduce solution complexity, and increase manufacturing throughput – now and in the future. Our designation as a finalist in this prestigious awards program further recognises this significant accomplishment.”

FlexSense™ is a patented optical sensor array that can quickly be programmed for a wide range of code-wheel diameters and resolutions.  This revolutionary sensor is compatible with multiple LED packages and wavelengths.

Charlene Soucy, Senior Director, Technology – Sensors & Electronics said, “The innovation this year surpassed other years with new, innovative technologies as well as technologists doing groundbreaking work in the field of design engineering. We congratulate the finalists on their accomplishments and look forward to seeing who the judges select as the best later this month.”

Submissions were judged based on the value to the marketplace, the impact of the problems it solves or issues it addresses and the uniqueness of the design. Award winners will be announced on June 21 at Sensors Converge.

Sensors Converge offers several registration options, including the All-Access Pass, which provides access to the entire event including pre-conference workshops, Conference passes, and the Expo Hall Pass, which offers access to the Expo Hall. Advance registration rates are available now through June 18th. For more information, visit: https://www.sensorsexpo.com/register.
